Eligibility for UG

Students who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) under Academic Stream / Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of Central Board (CBSE) or other equivalent examinations as recognized by the Periyar University are eligible to join Under Graduate Courses.

Eligibility for PG and Research Programme

Eligibility for joining PG / M.Phil Courses are mentioned in their respective courses.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for admissions to UG degree courses will be 21 (Twenty one) years as on 1st July 2023. For SC/ST/BC/MBC/DNC candidates and women candidates the age limit is relaxed by 3 years. For other communities the principals can relax upto 3 years based on merit. A relaxation of five years is permitted for the physically handicapped as per G.O. Ms.No.239, dated 03.09.1993

Hostel Accomodation

Students seeking admission to the hostel should apply to the Principal / Warden in the prescribed form with an application fee of Rs.100/-. The Hostel provides vegetarian food to the students. Rs.4500/- will be charged per month for Boarding and Lodging.

Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)

From the academic year 2008-2009 Periyar University Examinations are being conducted on the basics of CBCS pattern.

Attested Photo copies of the following certificates are to be enclosed along with the application form.

• Transfer Certificate
• Mark sheet of qualifying examination (10th, 11th, 12th, UG & PG)
• Community Certificate
• Migration certificate in the case of CBSE
• Two passport size photographs (Bus / Hostel-1 Photo)
• Eligibility certificate from Periyar University in the case of students from CBSE, other states & other countries for PG courses.
• Photo copies of Passport and Visa should be enclosed along with application for the country students.
• Photo Copy of Aadhaar Card Colour & Bank Passbook

Payment of Fee

• Fees can be paid in 6 Easy equal installments per year.
• Fund or fee instruted by the University or Government will be collected from time to time.
• University examination fee is collected with receipt.
